Our school is fortunate to have dedicated Wellbeing Ambassadors, individuals driven by a passion for helping others.
Ambassador Selection Process:
Becoming a Wellbeing Ambassador is not easy. Candidates undergo an application process to showcase their commitment and vision for the role. Once selected, they participate in a full-day training session where they hone essential skills such as communication, active listening, reliability and motivation.
The Role of the Ambassadors:
Every Tuesday, our Ambassadors meet for a Wellbeing Ambassador CCA, where they plan and organise events for our Primary School community. They actively identify and address issues, ensuring the inclusion and wellbeing of all students.
Wellbeing Wednesday Activities:
Wellbeing activities are aligned to the 5 Ways to Wellbeing (Give, Keep Learning, Stay Active, Connect, and Take Notice) our Ambassadors curate a variety of engaging activities. From art projects like stone painting and collaborative artwork proudly showcased in the Level 2 shared space, to physical activities such as dancing and girls’ football. There’s something to cater to everyone’s interests. These activities foster a sense of connection and joy among our students.
Campaigns:
Motivated by a dedication to inclusivity, our Ambassadors lead impactful campaigns. “Don’t Eat Lunch Alone” initiative encourages students to reach out and connect with peers during lunchtime. The creation of a Buddy Bench designed with positive affirmations provides a space for those feeling lonely to be supported by the ambassadors. Additionally, the introduction of a Compliment Box promotes kindness and positivity throughout the school community.
Recognizing the importance of gender inclusivity, our Ambassadors took proactive steps to empower girls. They are currently in the process of setting up a Girls’ Football Club, aiming to foster a supportive environment where girls can develop confidence and embrace sports.
While they are eager to welcome boys, their primary focus is ensuring girls feel comfortable and empowered. Similarly, they are also in the process of initiating a Mixed Cheerleading Team, which emphasises inclusivity, challenges gender stereotypes and fosters teamwork. These initiatives are showcased in regular school Wellbeing sessions.
In essence, our Wellbeing Ambassadors embody the Core Values of our school community. Their tireless efforts to promote inclusivity, kindness and wellbeing make them integral members of our ISPH family. Through their initiatives and actions, they enrich our school environment, making it a truly special place to learn and grow. Their unwavering dedication leaves a positive impact, fostering a sense of happiness and connection among students and staff alike.
