Computer Science
The high standard Computer Science education enables students to develop an
understanding of all technology that surrounds them, building on problem solving and computation skills.
Computer Science is a vital part of the learning experience in the 21st century; it prepares students to solve the problems of tomorrow by developing their knowledge, skills and understanding through key computational concepts and experience.
The curriculum at ISPH gives students the opportunity to develop an understanding for all technology that surrounds them, by not just understanding how computer systems work, but how to put this knowledge to use through programming and problem solving. Building on this knowledge and understanding, students are equipped to use information technology to create programs, systems and a range of content whilst developing programming skills.
Students are actively encouraged to explore the subject through:
- HTML: Students have the opportunity to learn how to design and build web pages through HTML software.
- Python: A high-level program that allows students to learn the basics of writing within softwares and websites.
- Coding Club: Students have the opportunity to join the Computer Science coding club, where they are able to enhance their knowledge and advance their skills.
