Global Perspective
The high standard global perspective curriculum helps develop students’ skills of
research, reflection and strong communication, allowing them to learn to direct their own learning and develop an independence of thought, skills that will be useful for further study and as active citizens of the future.
Global Perspectives is built around topics; each particular topic encompasses issues of global importance and significance. It is an imperative part of the learning experience for our students that they are able to explore stimulating topics that have worldwide importance.
The students at ISPH are able to collaborate with others from another culture, community or country throughout the study of global perspectives. This programme helps students to assess information critically and explore lines of reasoning, whilst directing their own learning and developing an independence of thought. Global Perspectives emphasises the development and application of skills rather than the acquisition of knowledge.
At ISPH, the subject is explored through focusing on:
- Team Project: A collaborative piece of work where students are able to explore a current event/issue within the world to create an informative and educational project.
