Janelsy Ignacio
Early Years Teacher
Janelsy joins ISPH as an Early Years teacher. She is a fully-qualified and highly-skilled educator who has taught in all the Early Years and Primary School year groups. Janelsy has taught at leading international schools in both Thailand and Vietnam for the previous eighteen years. She had held positions in leadership as a Curriculum Coordinator and Early Years Leader.
She is an advocate of the philosophy: ‘play is the work of childhood’. She aims to encourage creative development in children through activities that are child-centered, making use of a wide-range of learning resources that facilitate their development and enjoyment of their schooling.
Janelsy completed her Bachelor’s degree in Business with a double major in Marketing and Finance followed by a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. Developing her passion for education, she has built her expertise in Early Childhood, Special Educational Needs and phonics. Janelsy has recently returned to Hanoi from Europe where she was studying for a Masters Degree.
Outside of school, her interests include: music, art, photography, travel, yoga, cooking and writing. She enjoys singing and playing the piano. Janelsy also has a passion for writing children’s books as a way to create fun and meaningful literary experiences amongst young learners.
