Crispin Kendall

Humanities Teacher (Assistant Head of Secondary – Sixth Form, Teaching & Learning)

Crispin is a widely experienced teacher and leader with 20 years working in education. He began his professional career in the country of his birth, New Zealand, but after 5 years decided that the world was far too interesting not to explore. Crispin spent the following 15 years working and living internationally, in a range of different countries and educational systems: from Peru to England to Mexico and then onto Malaysia, with roles in a variety of highly-regarding international schools.

During this time Crispin has had various leadership positions, including Head of Technology and, more recently, Head of Humanities. Crispin’s last 8 years have been spent at ISPH’s sister school – ISPKL – in Malaysia, where he took the Humanities Department successfully through its first years of AS Level and A-Levels.

Crispin moves to ISPH in August 2023 to become our new Head of Sixth Form, where he will be responsible for leading the education of our oldest students in Years 12 and 13, including preparations for final examinations, university entrance, and beyond.

As a passionate Humanities teacher and someone who enjoys the strong relationships he forms with his students and colleagues, Crispin is very much looking forward to the exciting challenge of joining ISPH, as well as the opportunity to live in a country that he and his young family already have a great affection for.
