Congratulations to our ISPH Secondary speakers who took part in the first ever Soundbites Competition, hosted by JIS on Saturday 28th October!
Β
Last Saturday, Ms. Kate and Miss Francesca took ten ISPH Secondary students: Gia Minh & Nam Phan (Y7), Thuy Duong & Chihiro (Y8), Linh Giang (Y9), Tue Anh & Lindsay (Y10), Linh Vu (Y11) and Kieran & Onion (Y12) over to the Japanese International School to participate in the Soundbites: Speaking Competition. They competed against students in their age group from the Japanese International School and Hanoi Academy.
To prepare for round one, all of our competing students had to write a preliminary speech on a given topic. Students who made the semi-final round were then invited to speak again. They were given a prompt and, this time, had only thirty minutes to prepare their speech.

Our grand finalists were then invited to compete against each other after winning in their age category. They were given another prompt and, again, only thirty minutes to prepare their speech.

Finally, the results came in – three of our ISPH Secondary students were awarded third, second and first place! An amazing achievement!
The ISPH community would like to congratulate our final winners:

We are extremely proud of you all and we canβt wait to participate again next October!
