The IGCSE is the world’s most popular international qualification for 14 to 16 year olds, preparing students for AS & A-Level qualifications, taken during the final two years of school. Higher education and admission to the world’s best universities then follows – including those in the US, the UK, Australia, Canada, Asia, Europe and beyond.

Every year, nearly a million students from 10,000 schools in 160 countries prepare for their future with Cambridge programmes and qualifications. The Cambridge IGCSE programme has been designed for students worldwide, including those whose first language is not English, taken in over 140 countries and in more than 4,500 schools around the globe. In addition to A-Levels and higher education, IGCSE qualifications are often much-valued by employers and universities.

“We are proud to begin the next chapter of our school’s growth and very excited about the challenges and opportunities that IGCSEs will provide for our Year 10 students. Whilst a new development for our school, it is reassuring to have such a talented and experienced teaching staff at ISPH, and to have fully prepared our students and parents for the start of the IGCSEs,” remarked Mr Rik Millington, ISPH Principal.

Mr James Worland, Head of Secondary at ISPH, commented: “Our secondary team are very excited to officially begin the Cambridge IGCSE programme in August 2021. We have been working very hard to build a curriculum that offers students a wide range of subject options that allows an individual pathway for each student to follow their strengths and interests. I can’t wait to see our Year 10 students get started.”

Ms Christine Özden, Chief Executive of Cambridge Assessment International Education, said: “We are delighted to announce that The International School @ ParkCity Hanoi has joined our global community of Cambridge schools and we look forward to a long and productive relationship with them.”

Mr Andrew Dalton, Director of Education of ISPH and ISPKL, and Chair of the Board of Trustees, remarked: “I feel so proud that ISPH is officially a  Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) examinations centre. The IGCSEs have served as a benchmark in global education for over three decades and have become the gold standard for high school qualifications. I have total confidence that the IGCSE program will provide a perfect foundation for our students to be successful at university and beyond. Our sister school in Kuala Lumpur has been offering this same program since 2013 and it is exciting to realise that the two schools can closely collaborate for the benefit of all students.”
