Distance learning
Our Distance Learning Programme is designed to replicate the in-school schedule to ensure continued, consistent progress through the curriculum.
The Distance Learning webpage helps support students and families of ISPH with learning at home during periods of enforced school closure. ISPH Distance Learning Programme replicates the usual in-school schedule to ensure the continuation of learning as planned and to ensure curriculum coverage. Distance Learning consists of live-lessons and offline learning activities which are planned for each day.
Daily Schedule for Home-Learning
Each morning, before 8am, the class teachers will send parents a message which includes an overview of the day’s activities and lesson schedule.
This schedule, plus lesson resources and activities, is available for students on their respective learning platforms. In EYC and Primary, this is Seesaw; in Secondary the learning platform is Google Classroom.
At 8am each morning the students will have an online registration period with their class/form teacher, during which attendance will be taken, and information about the day ahead shared. For EYC, registration takes place at 8:30am.
The daily timetable of lessons and learning activities will be as per the home-learning timetable for the year group. A mixture of live-lessons and offline learning activities is planned for each day.
Feedback, assessment, marking and tracking of individual progress will be as detailed and rigorous as would be expected in school.
As per in-school learning, lessons and learning will be closely monitored and supported by the Leadership Team; in particular Mr Paul (Head of Primary) and Mr Stuart (Head of Secondary).
Home Learning Resource Packs
When the school initiates Distance Learning protocols, we will prepare and deliver ‘Home Learning Packs’ weekly to each of our students. The ‘Home Learning Packs’ include physical resources such as whiteboards, pens, other equipment and hard-copy learning materials like books, workbooks and printed packs.
