Alex Henson

Primary Teacher (Assistant Head of Primary – Teaching & Learning)


Alex joins us as an experienced Primary Teacher. Prior to joining ISPH, Alex has taught in schools for over ten years in both the UK and internationally and has held a variety of leadership positions during this time, including Key Stage leader, English lead and Head of Primary Academics. He moved to South East Asia in 2019 and joins us from Malaysia, where he worked in an international school for over two years.

Originally from Leicestershire, England, Alex graduated with a first class degree in Primary Education in 2010 from the University of Bedfordshire and went on to complete a Master’s degree in Education shortly after.

Alex is passionate about delivering high quality learning experiences that develop children’s curiosity, independence and creativity, whilst ensuring all pupils make the best possible progress towards their personal learning goals. He enjoys making innovative use of technology in the classroom to enhance children’s learning. Alex finds working with English language learners both an interesting and rewarding aspect of teaching internationally.

Outside of school, Alex enjoys running, learning languages, traveling and immersing himself in different cultures.
