Lewis Foster

Whole School Assistant Head, English Acquisition & Safeguarding

Lewis is a Primary Teacher from Derbyshire, England, with over seven years of experience. He graduated from the University of Cumbria with a BA (Hons) degree in Primary Education and began his teaching career in the UK – where he was the curriculum leader for PE, ICT and DT – before moving to China. Whilst in China, he taught Year 5 and was the Head of Extracurricular Activities and Expeditions. During this time he developed his expertise in teaching bilingual students, particularly in using oracy as a tool to enhance academic progress and language acquisition.

As a keen rugby fan and player, Lewis loves everything the outdoors has to offer – whether this is trail running, cycling or mountaineering. In his spare time, he also loves to read, cook, bake and travel the world. Lewis is keen to improve his Vietnamese language and immerse himself in the local culture.
