Mr. Terry Cao

P.E Teacher (Appointed from the Academic Year 2025-2026)

With international coaching credentials and firsthand experience in elite sports environments, Terry Cao brings a unique perspective to physical education at ISPH. As a former international school student himself, Terry understands deeply how sport can shape confidence, resilience, and lifelong passion in young people.

Terry holds a Bachelor of Science in Sport & Recreation Management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and has studied abroad at The University of Manchester, where he focused on football coaching and sports business. He is nationally certified by the US Soccer Federation and the National Federation of State High Schools (NFHS), combining global best practices with a local understanding of student needs.

Terry’s journey includes coaching within the MLS academy system at New York Red Bulls, where he worked alongside performance analysts and academy staff to nurture young talent. He brings this high-performance mindset into the school setting—most recently as a K–12 PE Teacher and Athletics Coordinator in Da Nang, where he developed curriculum, led house competitions, and organised both internal and external sporting events.

At ISPH, Terry applies his experience in both grassroots and elite athletic development to create a vibrant, inclusive, and competitive sports culture. He ensures that every student—from the enthusiastic beginner to the aspiring athlete—has the opportunity to grow, perform, and find joy in sport.

Beyond school, Terry is passionate about community service and youth empowerment. He has volunteered for humanitarian efforts in Ho Chi Minh City and received the “Excellence Award” from the Mayor for his contributions. His energetic approach, global coaching experience, and student-first mindset make him a standout member of the ISPH team.
