π A passion for Business at ISPH took Duc Kien (Year 12) to the Asia Business Simulation (ABS), part of the World Youth Economic Forum (WYEF). At the National Round held in Hanoi in early July, Kien’s team earned a Bronze Medal, securing their place at the 15th Global Finals.
β Representing Team 065 AURA in Shanghai, China in late July, Kien and his teammates competed against 66 teams from around the world. In the Operation round, the most demanding stage and the one carrying the highest weighting in the competition, Kien took on the role of CFO, responsible for the simulated company’s key financial decisions throughout the round. The role called for reading data quickly, making decisions under pressure, and holding to a long-term strategy amid the shifts of a simulated market.
π Kien’s team finished 1st in Vietnam and 17th overall out of 66 teams. Kien himself was recognised with two individual awards, the Silver Award and the Digital Business Simulation Excellence Award, in recognition of his analytical skill and command of digital business operations.
