On September 15th, our school hosted the much-awaited Leadership Assembly, an event that highlighted the significance of student leadership in shaping the future. Led by Mr Stuart Hill, Head of Secondary, this assembly was not just informative but also entertaining, leaving students with a deeper understanding of leadership and a sense of inspiration.
What is Leadership?
The Leadership Assembly commenced with an engaging and humorous presentation on the topic “What is Leadership?” Mr Stuart captivated the audience with his charismatic delivery and insightful content. He emphasised that leadership goes beyond just holding positions of authority; it’s about inspiring others, setting a positive example, and working collaboratively towards common goals.
Mr Stuart’s presentation was sprinkled with anecdotes and real-life examples of great leaders from various fields, demonstrating that leadership can manifest in different forms. From Jane Goodall’s dedication to wildlife conservation to Napoleon’s strategic genius, students were encouraged to think about leadership in a broader context. This interactive session not only entertained the audience but also left them pondering the qualities that make a great leader.
