Ms. Emily Smith

Science teacher (Chemistry Specialist) (Appointed from the Academic Year 2025-2026)

Emily Smith is a dedicated and high-performing Chemistry educator who brings both academic excellence and a vibrant enthusiasm for science to ISPH. With a First-Class BSc from University College London and a Distinction in her MSc in Chemical Research from Queen Mary University of London, Emily combines deep subject knowledge with a genuine passion for student-centred learning.

Since earning her PGCE with QTS from the University of Buckingham, Emily has been teaching Chemistry across KS3 to KS5 at North Bridge House Canonbury in London. Her students consistently exceed expectations, with recent GCSE and A-Level cohorts achieving value-added scores of +0.9 and +0.5 respectively. Emily’s teaching style is built around inquiry-based learning, practical experimentation, and data-driven interventions – ensuring all students feel supported, challenged, and inspired.

Beyond her core teaching duties, Emily has served as Head of Practical Science and Head of House, showcasing strong leadership and pastoral care. She leads popular enrichment programmes, including a sustainability-focused club called PPP, and regularly organises science-focused trips to connect classroom learning with real-world applications.

Outside of the lab, Emily is equally creative and active – whether she’s at the gym, playing football, baking, crocheting, or tending to her garden. Her dynamic energy, academic integrity, and student-first approach make her a vital part of the ISPH science faculty.
