Congratulations to Phuong Nga (Year 10), who has been officially selected as one of only two outstanding representatives of Vietnam to compete at the International Philosophy Olympiad (IPO) 2026 in Warsaw, Poland.
Now in its 34th edition, the IPO is organised by the Polish Philosophical Association and the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Warsaw, with direct support from the Ministry of National Education of Poland, and under the patronage of UNESCO and the International Federation of Philosophical Societies. It is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious academic competitions for students passionate about critical thinking, bringing together exceptional young minds from over 50 countries to engage in discussions on fundamental questions of humanity.
Earning a place on the national team as a Year 10 student is a remarkable achievement. Phuong Nga has demonstrated the qualities of a true global citizen. The selection panel recognised not only the depth and insight of her philosophical essay, but was also highly impressed by her extensive international debating experience and sharp critical thinking skills. This powerful combination of logical reasoning and a multi-dimensional perspective has allowed her to stand out among a highly competitive pool of candidates.
Taking place from 14 to 17 May 2026 in Warsaw, Phuong Nga will compete under the theme “Freedom & Reason”. This is a valuable opportunity for her to take part in intellectually rigorous dialogue at one of Europe’s most historic academic centres.
ISPH remains committed to supporting Phuong Nga with the highest level of academic guidance as she prepares for this journey. We wish you confidence, courage, and an inspiring experience as she represents the voice and intellect of Vietnamese students on the international stage.
