The echoes of laughter, the scent of adventure, and the spirit of exploration – these were the hallmarks of the inaugural ISPH Summer Camp 2023, aptly named “Your Self-Discovery Journey.” From July 17th to July 28th, the International School @ParkCity Hanoi (ISPH) opened its doors to a new chapter of learning, camaraderie, and personal growth. In collaboration with GPA Camps, Vietnam’s leading organizer of educational summer camps, this remarkable 10-day experience left an indelible mark on young minds as they embarked on a voyage of self-discovery.
A Debut to Remember:
ISPH Summer Camp 2023 marked a significant milestone as the first-ever summer camp hosted by the school. With a passion for nurturing holistic development, ISPH joined hands with GPA Camps to create an exceptional platform for students to unlock their potential and broaden their horizons.
A Global Gathering of Stars:
Diversity was at the heart of this summer camp, as students from various nationalities and schools in Hanoi converged in a tapestry of cultures, languages, and experiences. The global camaraderie fostered an environment of understanding and friendship, where young minds could learn from each other and appreciate the beauty of a multicultural world.
Language and Beyond:
With a dedication to enhancing language skills, ISPH Summer Camp 2023 immersed students in a completely English-speaking environment. Beyond language acquisition, this approach nurtured global communication and collaboration skills, preparing participants for success in an interconnected world.
A Curriculum of Exploration:
The camp’s curriculum was a masterful blend of English language studies, STEAM exploration, soft-skills development, art and crafts, and international sports that took adventure to new heights. From the thrill of Kick Ball Ultimate Frisbee and Ultimate Chase Tag to the imaginative challenge of Water Quidditch and the strategic play of Pétanque, students discovered the joy of teamwork and the thrill of friendly competition.
Diving into Confidence:
A standout feature of ISPH Summer Camp 2023 was the incorporation of comprehensive swimming lessons. This unique offering catered to both beginners and intermediate swimmers, instilling vital water safety skills and fostering a sense of accomplishment that would stay with the participants for life.
Feast for the Senses:
Nourishment wasn’t just for the mind and soul – the body was cared for as well. The school canteen crafted delicious and fresh lunchtime meals that kept the participants energized and ready to embrace each day’s activities with vigor.
Adventures Beyond the Horizon:
Day 5 brought a momentous adventure as the campers embarked on a field trip to Pandora Land, immersing themselves in learning beyond the classroom and creating memories that would forever be etched in their hearts.
A Grand Finale:
The journey culminated on Day 10 with the dazzling Final Gala. This crescendo of excitement included the Olympics, where sportsmanship took center stage; the refreshing and joyful Poolympics; and Campchella, a kaleidoscope of emotive performances that celebrated the unique talents of each participant.
